The War Room is a trading community from Bryan Bottarelli.

It delivers get trade ides for options and more.

It is quite pricey, though, and before joining I'm sure you want to know if it's a scam or not.

You'll get an answer to that in this review.

After you're done going through this post you'll understand if it's worth your money.

Let's get started!

The War Room Summary

Creator: Bryan Bottarelli & Karim Rahemtulla

Price: $2500 per year

Rating: 3/5

Do I recommend? It depends

Summary: The War Room is a decent service that revolves around option trading.

If that's something that you want to get into this offer can work for you - You'll definitely find winning trade ideas here.

However, it is pricey and that cost is yearly.

If you don't have a lot to trade with then this yearly cost could eat into your profits.

Lastly, there's been some complaints about the customer service and results as well.

Is Bryan Bottarelli A Scam Artist?

Bryan Bottarelli is the face of the War Room and he's been in the trading world for a while.

He started over 20 years ago trading on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

After doing that for about 6 years Bryan started his own research service called Bottarelli Research.

There's a lot of mixed reviews out there about Bryan.

Bottarelli Research has a lot of negatives reviews to be honest.

Over 240 people reviewed it and the average score is 1.7/5

People felt the service was too expensive and a lot of people claimed to lose money.

Some have accused him of only making money through selling stock picks and not actually trading.

To Bryan's credit The War Room gets better reviews which we'll cover a little later.

The other person involved in The War Room is Karim Rahemtulla.

Karim has been in the trading world since the 80's and worked at Bear Sterns.

He co-founded Wall Street Daily and was the chief options strategist there.

What Is The War Room?

The War Room is a trading service platform that specializes in trading options.

Options trading involves predicting the price of a stock in the future.

You create a contract based on this prediction.

If the stock goes over what you predicted you get to buy it at the price you predicted.. thus making you money.

If it doesn't go over your trade becomes useless.

You can also sell the contract before the date in the contract as well.

The War Room gives you trade recommendations, educational material and access to a chat room for options.

You will be getting trade picks everyday so this is also day trading in a sense.

What Do You Get With The War Room?

There's various aspects to The War Room.

Here's a look at what you get:

  • War Room Chatroom - Here members can discuss potential trades and get feedback on trade ideas.
  • Text Alerts - Not everyone can be around their computer to make trades. You get text alerts with recommended trade suggestions. This is good if you're busy.

  • Getting Started AS A War Room Trader - This guide will teach you how to use the War Room. You'll learn technical aspects of trading and when to buy and sell.

Who Is The War Room For?

I would only join The War Room if you have a good amount to invest.

There's many reasons for this.

The first reason is it's a pricey membership and will cost $2500 a year.

The average return for a year is around 10%.

So if you're trading $20,000 and get a 10% return on $2,000 you're actually LOSING money. You'll be down $500.

Additionally, you'll be getting trade recommendations every day.

In order to make more than 3 trades a week you need $25,000 in your account minimum.

Ideally, you'd have $30,000 just to make sure you don't go under the $25,000 amount.

Honestly, I'd only get this program if you have $50,000 or more to trade.

Anything under that and the price of The War Room may eat up all your profits.

Lastly, you need to be a serious trader and have a lot of time to trade to make this work.

You need to get in at certain prices and pretty much need to execute trades when you get an alert.

If you're late you'll probably miss the trade.

The War Room Complaints

Before I get into the War Room complaints I just want to talk about Bryan's previous products.

They have not been well received.

I've read review after review of people that signed up and lost money.

Here is a review from a product Bryan launched in 2013:

There's negatives reviews of Bryan's products going all the way back to 2008:

That's not good.

But so far The War Room seems to be getting better customer reviews.

It currently has a 3.9/5 with 12 reviews so far:

This is definitely an improvement.

However, this is a newer program and the previous products had hundreds of reviews.

So the sample size is different.

War Room Is Pretty Expensive

There's two options for The War Room.

You can either get a year subscription for $2500 per year or you can get a two year subscription for $3500.

That's a pretty hefty fee.

I personally think it would be better to have a monthly option so you can test out the picks before spending thousands of dollars.

I'd only recommend you spending this much if you're are going to devote your life to trading.

If you are willing to stand in front of your computer for the entire trading day this MIGHT be worth it.

But if you're a somewhat busy person I don't think you'll really benefit from the subscription.

I Don't Like The "Refund" Policy"

When you have an expensive service like The War Room you want to see a good refund policy.

I typically I like to see a 30 day refund period MINIMUM.

But The War Room doesn't offer that.

Instead they have a performance policy that if you don't get a certain amount of winning trades in year you get another year free.

That's not a good refund policy.

There's a lot of reasons someone might want their money back.

Maybe they thought they were getting something different or realize they don't have the time to option trade.

These people should be be able to get a refund.

The War Room Pros And Cons

Pros
  • Active community: You'll have access to a chatroom and get trade alerts. You'll definitely always have an idea of what trade to make.
  • A lot of picks: You get hundreds of picks a year and multiple every day.
Cons
  • Too expensive: Unless you have a lot of money to trade $2500 a year is a lot for trade ideas. That's going to eat into your profits.
  • Bad refund policy: If you don't get enough winning picks you get an extra year. This is a bad refund policy and it's better to just give people their money back.
  • History of complaints: Bryan's previous products aren't well reviewed. A lot of people lost money using them.

Final Thoughts About The War Room

For some people The War Room may be a good opportunity.

This can only be true if you have a good amount to trade with and you're going to take it very seriously.

If you aren't at your computer ready to execute trades there's a chance you'll miss trades.

So if you have a full time job or are constantly out of the house I don't see how this could work.

For the majority of people I'd say avoid and just find a more affordable program.

Here's A Better Opportunity

I'd probably pass on The War Room.

There's more reputable stock picking services that are less expensive.
